Stefano DELLA BELLA (Florence 1610 - 1664) "Port scene with two sailors (De Vesme 201)" Original monogrammed etching in "SDB" plate at the bottom left outside the round frame and with the same numbers entered in a "Heart with Cross" on the protuberance to which the seated character is supported, a detail this strangely not detected by DeVesme. Beautiful specimen in the first state of two, with the effect of the lavis-treated areas still present, printed with brown ink on a portion of thin laid paper on which there is no watermark, with large margins beyond the importance of the plate, with some small spots and minimal other defects at the edges but overall in excellent general condition In the two lower corners of the sheet there are two collection stamps which are listed on Lugt at No. 747c and 4594 both classified as "Marque non identifiée" . Uncommon sheet in these conditions of authenticity. Bibliography: Devesme – Massar “Stefano Della Bella Catalog Raisonné” New York 1971 n ° 201. Lugt "Les Marques de Collections de Dessins & d'Estampes" n ° 747c and 4594. Measurements in mm: 191 x 188
